ENGINE 44 & DEPUTY RESPOND TO DAY TIME GARAGE FIRE
July 13, 2010
At 1100 hours Tactical Box 07-03 was transmitted for the rear of McCarthy Drive for a garage fire. Chief 9 arrived on scene and reported a 20x20, three-story garage with heavy smoke showing from the 2nd and 3rd floors. Engine 44 arrived on scene and advanced an additional hand line to the building. Crew's worked for over 1 hrs with extinguishment and overhaul operations.

DAY CREW HAS BUSY FIRE FRIDAY
July 2, 2010
Friday July 2, 2010 around 1200 hours Engine 44-1, Field 88 & the Deputy responded to Bristol Twp. to assisted Station 11 and other township companies operating on a brush fire along the railroad tracks. The Engine and Field cleared in about an hour.

Then around 1400 hours Station 8 along with other SFDA companies were dispatched to a reported dwelling fire at the rear of 800 Durham Rd. As companies were responding, FM 244-5 arrived on Dawn Rd. and reported a 2 story single family dwelling with smoke showing. Engine 44 was then dispatched to cover Station 8. Engine 44 was in route within one minute of dispatch and requested by Command to respond directly to the fire scene. The Engine along with the Deputy AOL and assisted with laddering the dwelling and opening the roof.

ENGINE 44-1 TAKES 30 MILE TRIP TO PLUMSTEAD FOR A BUILDING FIRE

Engine 44-1 was dispatched to cover Sta. 19 (Doylestown) while still on the way to 19s house, county dispatch sent Engine 44-1 to an alarm system in 19s local, the Engine was recalled and sent home. While on the way Home County dispatch call and requested Engine 44-1 to assist Station 24 at a 4 alarm building fire located on Stump Road in Plumstead Township. Engine 44-1 arrived on scene and was told to split the crew. One crew went to Side C with a line and the other crew was assigned to finish opening up overhead doors. The engine crew worked for 2 hours on side C before being released and sent home. Newport maintained a second engine while 44-1 was in Plumstead.

ENGINE 44 GOES TO PENNDEL BUILDING FIRE WHILE ENGINE 88 COVERS MIDDLETOWN

Box 8-73 was transmitted for the building fire. Chief 8 arrived on location and reported heavy smoke showing from a one story 100 x 300 vacant warehouse. Engine 44 was dispatched to cover Station 8, while proceeding to Station 8 Engine 44 was added to the fire. Engine 44 AOL dropped a 5 line from Engine 9 into Rescue 8 on side A. The crew then assisted on the fire ground. Engine 88 was then dispatched to cover Station 8.

Tactical Box 7-4 was transmitted to 409 Longview Ave. for a Dwelling fire. Engine 44, was on radio while returning from another call and advised to respond. Assistant Chief 8 arrived on scene with a 2 1/2 story SFD with heavy smoke showing from the attic. Engine 44 w/4 aol and hand stretched a 5" supply line to Longview and Willow Ave, and advised the next due Engine to complete the split lay and take it to a hydrant positioned at Longview and Linden Ave. Engine 44 stretched an 1 3/4" cross lay to the second floor. The crew found a good amount of fire in the attic and started pulling ceilings and putting a knock on the fire. Other crews aol and stretched a back-up line, pulled ceilings and opened up the roof.

THE COMPANY RESPONDS TO FIRST DUE DWELLING FIRE


Saturday January 2, 2010 The Company along with Engine 65, Ladder 65, and Rescue 9 were dispatched to Acton Court in the 88-19 Box for a dwelling fire. Chief 44 AOL with smoke showing from the second floor of a 2 story middle of the row dwelling. Engine 65 AOL and went in service with a courtyard bag. Engine 88 AOL and pulled a second bag for a backup line. Engine AOL and stretched the 300 1 3/4. Ladder 65 AOL and opened the roof. Rescue 9 AOL and staged. The fire was contained to the second floor of one unit.
