Our department is always looking for new members.

Newport Firefighters are amongst the most dedicated and professional volunteers in the nation. Since 1926, our department has strived to continuously evolve with time to match the progression of our community. Today, all of our interior firefighters have and maintain a series of certifications from the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress and National Fire Protection Association as well as other institutes.

Newport Fire Company continues to educate our firefighters with the most up-to-date training available, free of charge to our members. Many people have the misconception that members of Newport Fire Company are only firefighters, that we will require everyone to perform the hard work of fighting a fire or assisting people who are having health emergencies.
